Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information Mohamed Ruby English collects, how it is used, and your rights as a user of our platform.
1. Information We Collect
When you register on our platform, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google. We also collect learning activity data such as quiz scores, XP points, and streak information to power your personalised dashboard.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide and improve the Mohamed Ruby English learning platform. Specifically, we use it to authenticate you, personalise your learning experience, track progress, issue certificates, and send occasional course-related communications. We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in a secure MongoDB database hosted on MongoDB Atlas. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. All connections use TLS/SSL encryption. Sessions are managed with signed HTTP-only cookies to prevent XSS attacks.
5. Third-Party Services
We use Google Sign-In for OAuth authentication, MongoDB Atlas for data storage, and Vercel for hosting. Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We do not integrate advertising networks or social media tracking pixels.
6. Your Rights
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at sbr93500@gmail.com. Upon verification of identity, we will delete your records within 30 days. You may also request a copy of the data we hold about you.
